Black Friday Deals and Michigan Football

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for Black Friday chaos and sales. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capitalize on any of the deals. I am also thankful for college rivalries, and Ohio State-Michigan is one of the best.

Tech Rescue Simulation from High-Rise Crane

This video was created using the perspective of multiple emergency rescue technicians during a simulated exercise. It has been edited and condensed.

Emergency Tech Rescue

For this next assignment, I ventured to the tip top of a 164-foot crane to capture images of an emergency tech rescue simulation. The construction company contacted the county’s emergency responders and requested the training exercise. I like to call this a win-win-win situation. The construction workers want to know they are in good hands if anything were to go wrong, the rescue technicians need the experience and I get to go up in a crane. Check out the full gallery and be looking for the follow up video.

Election Day in A2

Election days are hectic for all newsrooms. Although I’m not one for politics, I find it exciting running around town to document the atmosphere and mood of the voters. I visited about a half dozen polling places yesterday, along with a few election watch parties and one riot on the Michigan campus. There’s always something going on in Ann Arbor.
